Struggle makes Soul firm (response to clouds)

I got mail about my ‘Black Cloud’ writing.

I know saying ‘keep your fight alive’ is easier said than done. My writing is not to simplify your life or give you false encouragement. I can tell you that those around me (including my family) think I am following the wrong road and making a mistake chasing my dream. The picket fence and Volvo is THEIR way of life, and I have never felt that was my destiny. Will I succeed?, who knows, but I can tell you I have been through a very long battle to make my dream go, and I got to the point that writing to an open highway helped more than sitting and spinning with others’ negative tone and harsh words. The country has gotten to a point where no one likes a ‘boat-rocker’ and I think people have to chase their ideas to make better opportunities for others. Is it easier to be stupid and live by everyone’s desires for you? YES. You have to ask yourself if you want to risk being who you love, or settle for who ‘they’ love. Some will abandon you; some will try to put you down; and others will try to block your path. This is the most difficult part of cutting your own path, and that is ‘the Black Cloud’ that must leave. Do not be mean or try to prove others wrong, because that intensifies the cloud and hides any light at the end of the path. Once this ’struggle’ becomes comfortable, your Soul takes over, and accomplishment will begin! I fought everyone around me for the longest time, and it wore me out and almost (still might) put my project under. I write to help those with no support. Let all the haters keep talking; most of them are doing nothing or afraid you may surpass their success. The cloud is there to set you on a path that will be yours if… and I me if… you can break the grip of living someone else’s dream. Specific issues you run into… email me, I’ll send you some ideas. Hope this helps for the one who thought I was running off at the mouth.

Sleep can kill!

YOU AWAKE?

The United States of America is a fine place on this wonderful morning, and I enjoy the fact I live here. There comes a time when one must ask if a fine place can improve upon itself, and become even better. It is a universal truth, that despair and unfavorable conditions will exists to a certain extent due to the diverse area and population this great planet possesses. America has been a leader in many categories concerning social needs, desires, and ideology. The country’s TRUE defining principles are great standards to apply towards building a fantastic social structure. The question is: “Has the driver fallen asleep at the wheel?”… or has something even more sorrowful taken place?

As I awoke this morning, I realized that it was much later than the time I needed to be out of bed. On the rare occasion I do over sleep, I am left with no option but to get moving. This lack of “alarm clock stimulation” has forced me to haul ass, and not necessarily think the next actions of my day out appropriately. I accept this reality and tell myself that I will play ‘catch up’ later (provided I do not slip in the shower, cut my face shaving or run red lights due to my hast). This mentality is a fine operating creed for a middle class kid with no greater responsibility than going to work, paying taxes, and hanging out at club ‘Show My Ass’. The problem comes into play when one has chosen to take on more responsibility in life, and to assist Humanity in providing a better place to exist. These are the individuals that are responsible for providing the structure and security for maintaining electricity flow, pot-hole free roads, child protection, and all other services a society needs and desires. Once the choice is made to claim leadership, then that individual must begin to decide what truly is important to ALL that fall under the region of power. If you fail to understand the relationship between ‘your’ territory and the rest of the world…..Endgame… you are done. Should I choose to forget my razor has a sharp blade, it will surely get the best of my neck while I ponder the consequences of my tardiness.

Along came a spider, and with it came the idea that small parties with ambition to grow could set ideologies that would fulfill these needs and the largest one will be right. These ideas will be rooted in ancient ‘untouchable’ principles and only the highest educated will have the right to dictate ‘man law’ (not to be confused with Miller Lite’s idea of ‘Man Law’). These sects have developed some fantastic principles in which to live one’s life, but they are not always the best at defining these ‘laws’ and therefore leave a great deal open to interpretation and vulnerability. This chaos created from these actions has come to dominate the political and cultural environment. This uncertainty and FEAR has become the key element in running political institutions around the world. The double whammy (neat word I dig) is the backing of media, and their fear of reporting the truth and/or simply profiting more by showing the slanted side that makes them more money. This true Catch22 is a very effective means of rule and manipulation, and if you do not have the time to sit and think about it, it will consume you with either anger or fear.

This website is my little gift to my country. I look around and see most of my countrymen and women either struggling in despair or running so hard and fast, that they have no time to really SEE what the nature of politics is providing them. I write all that will appear here for the sector of society that has not but a flicker of hope. America is strong and it is a pillar of the world community, but the true might is the people that walk the streets everyday. I have encountered greater wisdom on the bread truck routes of American cities than all of Washington, London, and Beijing politicians combined. I do believe in my country, and I hope through review of these daily postings, that you will at the least find inspiration and hopefully enlightenment. I have no intention of providing an ideology to live by. I simply want to give you an additional way to look at the world around you, and some topics to discuss at the dinner table or on family night around the den.

I have strong opinions about the way all countries are operated, but for now I hope to begin to be able to talk about a better future for my country. God gave you all the tools you need to survive and He will be the One to consult for direction in your life, but I hope my discussions will help you to understand the fear and anxiety that politicians use intentionally to curb your attention. By better understanding the mindset behind ‘power’, I hope you will obtain more security and independence in your life and pass it on to others. Always feel free to email topics that have an impact in your life, and give me your opinion on my writings so that I can learn from you.

The mental health professional!!!

This was a common theme embedded in my email responses. First things first: I sense (I could be wrong) that email was used to send comments because each person felt anxiety and possibly embarrassment involved with having what someone calls “mental condition” (NOTE: USE WHAT EVER MEANS YOU CHOOSE TO WRITE ME, AS LONG AS YOU ACT ON YOUR PAIN). The mainstream culture runs on a total ‘donkey dung’ premise that every person should have this ‘perfect’ mental capability to deal with every situation life has to offer. Let me tell you something, every personality you see in Hollywood has a serious monkey on their back somewhere. The difference in you versus them? They have the resources to have media coverage censured and kept in the black, where as you have to wear your daily battle on your sleeve. This very notion presents a great deal of stress and frustration to the individual fighting the war to get out of bed and be productive each day.

Ultimately, this brings one of two major responses: ISOLATION and/or ANGER. Zach from ‘Rage Against The Machine’ was correct about “anger is a gift”, but unfortunately the band did not clue fans in to the fact that once you have the gift, one must use the gift appropriately and understand the downsides to expressing the raw element of the emotion. Isolation is never a good thing! The cool thing is that the Internet provides you comfort to work out of the isolationist corner and begin to creep into emotional health without the fear of “jumping in full steam ahead” (example – mental health pro suggests a public speaking gig to break you of your fear of people).

Anger is your enemy, and if mental health professionals made things simplistic, they would have no long term patients to treat (please know I understand serious conditions require significant help, but that is not the majority of the practices that pay for all these damn BMWs and Rolex watches!). If a therapist makes comments that piss you off, make sure to breath and just listen. The more you react to the common trap of “JUST LISTEN TO ME! YOU DO NOT KNOW ME! STOP JUDGING ME!, the more inclined they are to say, ‘you still need to come see me’. This is particularly difficult for teenagers and those with constant exposure to parental guidance/mandates. The parents want what is best for the child (adult or youth) and wish to bring ‘enlightenment’, but they may not have enough respect for the fact that they and their generation will not be the same as their child’s way or life, belief system, dress, attitude, etc..

One thing I know that begins to help the relationship is if YOU take on the responsibility to begin changing the pattern of communication. IS THIS FAIR? HELL NO, but that is what discovering yourself is about. Try to noodle on the idea of allowing all comments to come in, but do not react to them (just like email, let it all come in; delete what does not apply; reflect on what does apply; and incorporate the meaningful into your life ACTION). WARNING!!! this is easier said than done and you can not get frustrated, because nothing will change fast, but over as little as three weeks, the people in your life will see a difference and the ‘territory of conflict’ in your life will alter, and hopefully you will feel more empowered to evaluate your life through examination of all opinions floating out there.

Walking your Path

I talk with people everyday that tell me they think the world is in serious trouble. No doubt there are very ugly things happening outside your door and abroad. The funny thing about this ‘gloom and doom’ scenario is that most of the time, the person can not explain to me where this depression came from. They consume news headlines, catch flack from management at their job, never have time to see loved ones, and get wrapped in a blanket of warm loneliness. This is a very easy course of life to get trapped in on a regular basis.
When you ask for help and ideas, (let me guess) the individual you ask either gives some ‘keep your chin up’ short speech… takes the opposite approach and gets way too dramatic and wants to get wrapped in your problems to gossip and feel better about themselves… truly does not care and moves on… or offers you a pill or bill for $85-150 an hour! Any ‘Dr. Phil‘ type will tell you all these answers have their place and time to be appropriate (though they would nnneeevvveeerrrr label them this simplistically).
****NOTE TO SELF – Be careful of the impact others may have on you when they resort to “I have a degree, and I have 25 years experience, etc.. (example) I may have been wiping my backside with sandpaper for 25 years and after so much time my buttocks got used to it and smoothed over… but for you with sensitive skin, all the education and wiping experience in the world does you ZERO good and probably defeats your spirit more. (therefore I have done you a disservice)
My point here is this: Most people out there have an agenda of some sort, and if you have been wounded by this aspect of life.. this is the blog for you. If you have situations that aggravate you, give me the general idea and see what comes out. ‘Dr. Phil‘ types and high profile ’self-help’ gurus need publicity and have pressure to keep ratings high in order to maintain their lifestyle. I myself would rather have opinions from others going through the same situations, other than finger-pointing yahoos claiming they know it all.

So whatcha, whatcha… whatcha want?

Title says it all people. I set this account up to launch the formal back and forth with the individuals out there that want some sort of change above and beyond ‘politics’ and ’special interest’ crap pulling this society down. I have kept to myself to this point, but I am starting to have others really wanting my rhetoric (maybe to inspire, maybe to get a good laugh, I don’t care). If I chose to stay silent, I would be a hypocrite and not give the people want they want. I waited until the number of fans/haters was a size-able number… now the email takes too long for so many and I’ll just put it up on open source and see if people do really want to make a difference.

Question is: “What do you really want?”

I hear people complaining all the time about this and that, the other, and the other’s brother. So you don’t like ‘W’, and war is not the answer, and the welfare system is abused, and your momma doesn’t love you, and so forth and so on! WHAT IS IT THAT IS GOOD IN YOUR LIFE?

Answer – YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Basic concept of this blog is leaving the boys and girls of politics and ‘fight provoking’ special interest fanatics to understand other routes to view the world and your relationship to it. I do not have any intention of telling you how to run your life, because I’m out here struggling just like you, but I see individuals commanding attention that have the wisdom of a crusty booger and the backbone of a rubber-band, and I do not want that to ruin your spirit while they prosper from their double standards and ‘Hollywood’ cccooolllness. Before continuing to read this blog, I must warn you… if you are more dedicated to a political party, a certain flag, a ‘movement’, or a hermit like existence, etc., than you are to your own spirit… then by all means RETURN TO YOUR ‘you tube’ and Justin Timberlake enveloped lifestyle, because this will not mean much to you.

RULES of Engagement:

1. Say what you mean. I have thick skin and I love a good “hater” that land-blast my opinions, but if you write and I respond, don’t pout, BRING IT! If you agree with the blog writings, your love is much appreciated, and please help keep me fired up and by all means… say what is on your mind.

2. I try to leave politics and religion on CNN and at your dinner table (where it should be), but I will let you know my opinions if you are interested. God moves in each person’s life and I can give you my views and assistance, but I am no priest and you will probably need expert help for that sort of thing (some have no outlet and are in despair, in which case I will not leave you hanging, but He is the one to look to ultimately)

3. I love making topics to talk about, but your ideas and questions make this stuff go… SO WRITE ME!
